Beneath the Shadow of His Wings uses photos of some of the smallest and largest of God's feathered creations. These birds illustrate His loving care, protection and sacrifice, and serve as metaphors for both strength and knowledge, as well as folly and frailty.

One of God's most important attributes is truth. Truth is not just what God says or does but who He is; it is His character. His word is truth and Jesus is God's word brought to life. Truth is an attribute that God wants to develop in us, through the power of the Holy Spirit as we grow to become more and more like Christ. We are always to speak the truth in love.

Using many different words to refer to Scripture, Psalm 119 focuses on the Word of God and its importance in our daily lives, ultimately pointing us toward Jesus.

Psalm 33 opens, "Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.” As His people we should praise and worship him as the source of justice and righteousness, as the creator and the one with sovereign control over the nations. God watches over and delivers those who reverence and trust His unfailing love.

Thanksgiving is an integral part of our relationship with God. Not only do we sing and shout our praises to Him with joy, but offer the worthy sacrifice of thanksgiving as a spiritual discipline, no matter our circumstances or feelings.

Psalm 91 begins, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” God promises protection and salvation to those who love Him and walk in His will, seeking to commune with Him daily.

In late February 2022, the Chief Rabbi in Ukrain invited Christians to join Jews in praying this Psalm together. A Prayer for Ukraine uses God's own words in Psalm 31 to lift our brothers and sisters before the Lord as they struggle to retain their freedom from Putin’s tyranny. It calls on God to be their refuge, give comfort in their affliction and mercy in their distress. It asks that lying lips be silenced and the wicked be put to shame.
